Dear Housing Market...................
....................I hate you. You $uck! Oh, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would turn around sometime VERY soon so that my overpriced, stupid house would be worth enough so I could sell it and get the h-e-l-l off this overpriced, overcrowded, overdeveloped island.

I feel for you, that sucks! I feel very lucky that I bought my house when I first got married in 1998. I do not want to tell you what I paid for my house(you would hate me) I could never afford a house in this crazy market.
My little Bro bought a house in 2008 and paid $450,000 for a 2 bedroom ranch

We had considered moving out of state, but we'd lose so much money on our house it wouldn't be worth it because we'd still owe so much money on the house plus be paying for another mortgage.

My home down in SC is under $140K I feel your pain believe and to top it off I had tenants in that didn't pay for 3 months and just got them out!!

i feel for you but being on the other end of the spectrum (buyer) im enjoying this  GREAT time for buyers!
so, once you DO sell, you are the buyer, you can enjoy this market too!

I hear you. I also can tell you that the housing market is hurting new buyers as well. I know a few who took advantage of the market and ended up losing their job or getting laid off so no one is safe. The cushion they normally had was put towards a downpayment--on eof my coworkers was just laid off in Jauary. She'd just closed on the 7th and was let go two weeks later. So its bad all around.

but I have to say it seems very incongruous to what you posted on the tax cap thread.
I have even been debating posting on here but I can't help myself.
don't you think the tax cap could help you and so many others going through the same thing?
