DD's eye is swollen shut! Help!

DD's eye is swollen shut! Help!
My 17 month old DD has an allergy to mosquito bites. The bites get HUGE, blister, do disgusting pus-y things, and go away after a week or so. I give Benedryl in the beginning to bring down the swelling.
She got a bite on her forehead yesterday. It was HUGELY, grotesquely swollen, all the way down to the top of her eyelid. Gave Benedryl twice yesterday. She woke up this morning and the swelling is completely down on the bite, but her eye is SWOLLEN SHUT!!!!!!
Any advice???? I'm trying to call the ped's office, but even though they open at 8, the line is busy....

When that happened to DS, he needed a steroid. That made it go down very quickly.

OMG! Yea call the dr it migt just need a steriod. My DD is the same with mosquito bites. They get HUGE and last a week and even leave a little mark. LAstw eek she had one on her forehead that was the size of a cherry. I actually thought she bumped her head but it was a mosquito bite.
I hope she feel better.
