DB'ing not as much fun as I thought it would be!

So, this is the first month that DH and I have REALLY been trying. I've never been one of those people who can O by s-e-x alone. Therefore, I can really take it or leave it unless there's some other "activities" beforehand. This is our first month trying and honestly, (sorry for the TMI) I'm not really getting aroused/wet enough to enjoy it, even to the point where it is a bit uncomfortable and I feel selfish expecting DH to go down every time. then the next day, I feel a bit sore and by day 3, I'm just really not looking forward to it because I dread being sore. Now, it's day 4 and again, I'm dreading it.

Anyone else have problems getting "turned on" and if so, what did you do?

Since DH and I just started, I don't think either of us want it to get to the point yet where we are just doing it for the sake of getting the little guys in there. I know it may eventually get to that point but for right now, we want to keep it something we do for enjoyment, not just function.

How do you ladies manage to keep it fun and get yourselves in the mood?

I would recommend using preseed if you don't have a lot of time for foreplay. It is a TTC friendly lubricant and can be really helpful. I think many of us can understand that sometimes TTC can zap the fun & spontaneity out of your love life for a while.

Thanks! I've seen posts for Pre-seed but didn't know what it was. I thought it helped the sperm "stick" or something.

I TOTALLY know what you mean. This is our first month really Trying, too, and it's losing the fun for me. There's no spontanaity really...I'm charting and doing OPKs this month, so I know that we HAVE to do it today and for the next few days. But I get sore and need more "activities" beforehand, too.

I was thinking of making our nightly activities a little more fun and adventurous this week..... Not to give TMI, but maybe dress up one night with a new "outfit," be cooking dinner in a new "outfit" when DH comes home for dinner, buy a game at Spencers or some other "fun" store, a strip tease, a massage, etc.

Good luck... Maybe this will be the last month we have to try!

DH and I are in our third month TTC so I know exactly how you feel. BD is a chore now and poor DH has been rising to the occasion (no pun intended) every day this week. I just got a positive OPK and told him he has to do double duty today and tomorrow. Poor guy. The preseed helps. Also, don't be afraid to do whatever it takes for you and DH to get those little spermies where they need to be. We have been watching a lot of movies this past week, if you know what I mean.
