Thanks again for all your responses. DD sleeps in the cot like she's been sleeping on it all her life! She took to it from day one.

You will be shocked ......... I'm STILL shocked that they get a classroom full of kids to nap at the same time. They just do it - honestly, there was no transition ........when they went to the toddler room the cribs were replaced by sleep mats ..........and that is what they slept on. NEVER had an issue w/ either of my boys. Don't stress

I worked at a daycare in the two year old room. It was actually very easy to get them all to sleep at the same time. There simply is no alternate option for them. Everyone must lay on their cot. They don't have to sleep but they are not allowed to play or talk. It becomes routine, same music, same spot, same time every day. I had one kid that if I turned on the music during lunch he would fall asleep in his plate
