Daycare moms of 1 year olds
For those that had to have their dc transition to 1 nap... how did you/they do it?
How did it go? How long did it take dc to adjust?

DS usually took a later nap at his old sitter. When he was 14 mos we moved him to a center. He adjusted fine. I think they keep him so busy during the morning he's ready for his nap after lunch. Sometimes he's been asking to take a nap before lunch....not for me of course!
I'm sure they will work on the transition. DS's class isn't very rigid - if a child is tired, they put them down for a nap. When they wake up, they eat.

Kaydyn is watched by my ILs. When she was 11 months she dropped her 1st nap on her own. She just refused to go to sleep. So instead of taking one nap around 9:30 and one around 2:30/3 she just takes one nap at 12:30/1 and generally sleeps for 2-3 hours.
