Daycare moms - tuition fee every year????

So we paid $150 for tuition last year when we enrolled DS.

Meanwhile they raised the price twice in 1 year. For a total of $20 raise ($10 each time).

Now, I saw a sign that the "early" registration fee will be cheaper by $50 so it will be $100 instead of $150 for September registration if we register by the end of April

1/ I had no clue I had to pay registration every year

2/ Isn't it a bit high$$$?

We paid a pne-time $50 registration fee when we signed DS up, plus security which we get back provided we provide the required written notice before taking DS out of the program.

BUT do you have to pay it EVERY year.

We pay $150 a year registration.

When we signed DD up it was right in the registration package. Each year that she is there, we have to review the package again and sign it.

Yes it is a hefty fee, but they do many extra parties throughout the year and do special holiday activities that I don't mind.

I love the center. If I didn't like where she was at then I probably would be annoyed at the extra money.

we pay 40 dollars to hold her spot every "school" year and then a 60 dollar admin fee when we start the actual "school" year in September. SOOOO annoying, especially since she has been there since Jan of '06.

tuition goes up 4% per month every year

I think my registration fee was $120 upon enrollment and and due every year. I think that's pretty much the norm (a yearly registration fee).

I have only paid $30 once in the 9 years that I have used the daycare.

We have an annual fee - it was $50 last year and $75 this year, but no tuition increase this year.

Ours is $75. It was waived when I signed DD up, but I know I will have to pay it come next year.

Its the biggest scam going IMO!

I paid 150.00 when I registered each kid. Every year I have to pay an "insurance fee" of $100.00.

Reg is $125- due every September-

There is also an activity fee due EVERY Summer of $130 (for the campers 2+)

Every center Ive ever worked in had this policy and similar prices...

I wasn't sure until I went to pick him up yesterday and there was a reminder in his cubby that the $150 registration fee was coming up, but was only $100 if you paid in advance.
