Daycare and holidays
If your child goes to daycare 5 days a week, do you pay full price for shorter holiday weeks? For example, Thanksgiving week where they only go 3 days and are off Thursday and Friday.

DD goes to a large chain and we pay the full amount of the week, regardless of holidays/closings/amended hours.

Pay the full week price, regardless of holiday closings and/or if she's sick and has to stay home due to the illness.

We are at an at home daycare. I always pay for holidays or if my kids are sick. In theory if we are going away etc and let her know in advance we don't have to pay but I usually do as a courtesy anyway.

No discounts for short weeks or vacations. We pay for a spot which is ours whether we use it or not.

Yes, same.
However, we pay our rate based on 40 hours a week.
So for example last week they were closed 2 days and he was only able to go Mon thru Wed.
Since he normally does five eight-hour days per week, instead last week, DH didn't rush to pick him up at 345 as usual... instead I picked him up at 530 when I got off the train from work. So we had that cushion for him to stay a few extra hours the three days and we were still under our 40 hours that we pay for.

We pay by the month, not the week and it never changes for holidays, shorter months, etc.

We pay weekly. If DD is sick or they are closed, we pay half price.
