Day Care Prices??

Hi, I am not a mom yet, just thinking if we are financially ready--i will have to go back to work-I live In Wantagh, just wondering if someone can quote me a price that they pay at day care or for a live out nanny--I really have no clue how much the cost is... Thanks so much!!!

I payed 50/day for an in-home babysitter. I brought my dd to her house and she only watched my daughter and her own children.

Kiddle Academy quoted me about $1300 full time, monthly per child for 8-5 (before that time and after is considered early/late drop off/pick up and you have to pay extra).

The specific Tutor Time by me constantly has a violation on the county site so I never even looked at it.

My daycare is an employee daycare (very long waiting list for the community) and by FAR the cheapest in the area (not why we picked them). It's about $1000 per child, per month, hours 7-5:30. I don't know exactly because I have two and there is a discount for the second child.

My friend is paying more (a couple of hundred more a month) for her daughter to go to an in-home daycare in our same town. The provider only works the school schedule (teacher's hours/days).

A nanny would run you more money for one child. In our area they get about $500 a week.

$315 a week for an infant, regular hrs (8am- 6:30) in Hicksville.

mt dd goes to an in home sitter, she watches my dd, my best friend's dd, and then she has 4 kids of her own (7,6,4,2)

DD goes to an in home daycare. I pay $60.00 a day for 3 days. If she went 5 days it would be $50.00 per day.

$307 per week (extended hours 6:30am-7:00pm) in Syosset.

I use a family day care center, it's 230 a week.

I WAS using a larger facility and that was close to 300 a week.

$909/month (but this includes a 10% discount bc my company is partnered with the daycare)...but I am in NJ.

I pay $319 a week for 5 days a week - 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For one child, I had a nanny - $10 an hour with a min. of 25 hours a week - paid sick and vacation time. I also paid her for commuting time since we moved.

in september DD will be with one sitter mon and fri and she charges $60 /day. The other three days my aunt will be watching her and I'm thinking of giving her $50/day...so it would be $ 270/week for us if that's what we agree upon.

DD is almost 2 and we pay $1,070.00 per month that is full time, she goes from 8:30-4:15 . I think infants are a little higher. We go to a daycare in Holtsville.

$1245 per month. Prices go up $50 per year. It is a privately owned, large daycare center from ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Hours are 7:15 am to 6:15 pm.

ETA: You can find some great suggestions for daycares by doing searches on here. Many of us use full-time daycare.
