Day 2 Clomid
Good Morning Everyone!!!!
New to LIFamilies, nice to meet you all
After all the testing the past 2 months, got a great report yesterday from RE!! Started Clomid 50mg yesterday...YAAAAAYYYY...fingers crossed!!! The RE told me it could cause cramping and heavier than normal AF. My question to all who have taken Clomid...Has anyone experienced terrible cramping and really heavy AF after the first dose? I took it yesterday at 2pm (day 3), the only thing I can attribute to these symptoms is the clomid.
What other kinds of symptoms have you experienced? Hot flashes, cramping, moodiness...?
Also, my RE never told me to avoid any medications. When I called the pharmacist to see what I could take for this pain, she told me only tylenol. Anyone advised to avoid advil or aleve?
Good Luck To Us All

Day 2 Clomid
I took clomid on two separate occasions (50mg and 100mg) and the only symptom I experienced was mild cramping. As far as no other meds than Tylenol I was not told anything specific to avoid. However I have been told when TTC to only take Tylenol whenever possible. Good luck

Re: Day 2 Clomid
I'm currently on day 3 of clomid (100mg) and my biggest symptom is hot flashes. I've also had some slight ovary twinges here and there. Not sure if its all in my head though.
Good Luck!!

Re: Day 2 Clomid
Clomid gave me no side effects the first month I took it. The second (and last) month I took it I got horrible migraines. Needless to say, I told the RE I couldn't take it anymore.
Also, clomid usually makes your period lighter b/c it tends to thin your uterus. I don't remember a difference on those 2 months but they were definitely not heavier than usual.

Re: Day 2 Clomid
I only took it for 1 cycle and got my bfp, so i can't answer the AF question.
But i did have some cramping or pulling sensations here or there, although minor. HOWEVER the day i ovulated... holy h*ll. I felt it all day and it hurt. Very strong ovulation cramping.
hot flashes... no i don't think so. I have high fsh so i already experience night sweats. I always took the pill at night.

Day 2 Clomid
I had headaches so I took it at night. The only cramping I had was when I got close to ovulation due to the follicles.

Re: Day 2 Clomid
Thank you so much for sharing ladies :)
After doing some research, I learned that some women get lighter shorter periods; some get heavier, clottier, crampier periods; and some are lucky to have no effect on AF. I had such terrible doubled over cramps (not usual for my AF) but it's a normal side effect. Took my third 50mg pill today and I am feeling much much better!!!!! TWO MORE TO GO!!!!!!! No headache or hot flashes yet, not hormonal; hoping to stay that way :) I go back to the Dr on Friday for sono, so we'll see.
Thanks Again!!!

Day 2 Clomid
I had no side effects. The only thing that happened was the first time I took clomid I responded very well and produced 9 follicles. That led to a very, very heavy AF and cramps that kept me in bed.
