why do you have to hold it?
To make sure that the hormone level in your urine is concentrated enough for the test to detect surge, it’s important not to urinate for at least 4 hours before doing the test.

I was alwasys worried about a false + too but it never happened. Even though the direction say you can get one I really dont think it happens often.
