Damn OPKs- Please help!

Ok please bear with me on this: I usually get a + opk around CD 16.. This month I started testing at CD 12 ( i usually like to begin at cd 11 but I was waiting on the digitals I ordered). On CD 13 I tested at work as usual and the test stick was defective so I had to wait till I got home 4 hours later to test and it was negative. I am now on CD 18 and still have not gotten a smiley (positive). Do you think I missed my surge the day I had the defective test even though I only tested 4 hrs later than usual?? or is it more likely I am Oing late or not at all? Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated? TIA!

i dont think u missed it bc if u wwere at the beginning of a surge u would have gotten a positive that night and if u were at the end u would have gotten one the night before

i just dont think u o'd yet..u def dont have to o same time every month so i think it is on the way
