D-Day for Theresa Giudice
I'm so torn. Part of me knows she deserves it but part of me feels bad for her in a way. I think this is going to break her and her ability to put on the strong face and stand by Joe. The last couple of weeks leading up to today had to be hell.

D-Day for Theresa Giudice
I don't feel bad for her at all. She knew what she was doing even if she plays dumb. Plus she kept making it worse for herself by omitting stuff. The judge would have given her house arrest if it weren't for that. She thought she was above the law and entitled. She got what she deserved.
I do feel horrible for her 4 daughters. Theyre the innocent victims in this. Their family will be broken. Never to be the same. When theresa comes home, it's joes turn. They won't be together for 5 years all of them and even then when joe gets out he could be deported back to Italy. It's sad for the children. The parents should have thought about them and not themselves when they did all of this. Eventually the law catches up to you and your life of false luxury.

I'm shocked she actually went. I was convinced she would go on the run, I'm sure she'll only serve 3 months.

I'm eager to see if she serves the full sentence or gets released early . In the federal system you get 54 days of good time per 12 months so I imagine she will be out in 13 months rather than 15. I feel really awful for her daughters. Their family is destroyed.

I feel for her daughters. I can't imagine how devastated they must be. I do believe she loves her girls but she should have obeyed the law. I feel sad for her. Hope she learns a lesson and stays out of trouble after this for her girls sake.

Re: D-Day for Theresa Giudice
With all the ORIGINAL loans etc I feel bad for her. She trusted her husband and signed papers.
She has said MULTPLE times "I trust. I'm trusting" etc.
I can picture the convo with all the paperwork to start the problem:
Joe: T, sign this stuff.
T: It says I have a job. I don't. Is that ok?
Joe: Yeah. Don't worry.
IMHO that's about how it went. It is 100% his fault (ok, maybe 90%) they are in this.
Then when they declared bankruptcy and it came out a lot of stuff was left off the bankruptcy (like her RHONJ salary!!!!!) its 100% her fault.
At this point she *knew*, she *KNEW* Joe had lied on all the original paperwork. She knew because they were going to court because of it. So she *knew*.
At THIS point you would think she would want to look at every paper. Double check everything. Review it all with the lawyers. Look and see what was being declared.
And the second time around:
T: I just trusted the lawyers.
Fool me once shame on you. Foo me twice shame on me.
I still think she didn't REALLY know what was going on. I think she is MOSTLY a victim of Juicy Joe.
But after he duped her the first time and it landed her in court I would have looked at EVERYTHING with a fine tooth comb. Unfortunately its her fault she is in jail.
I feel she deserved what she got, even if it was only for trusting everyone. She got jail time SOLEY because of the omissions on the bankruptcy.
Those poor girls.

I feel for her family as it must be an embarrassment for them and her children, who must endure this in the present while at school and in the future, at it will forever live on TV, google, etc.
not like years ago, it was in the papers and gone

Peace out, not a ounce of pity for this *********. Worse part instead of this being a learning lesson to teach her kids she is playing the victim and raising them more entitled.

Re: D-Day for Theresa Giudice
Zero sympathy for her - it would be one thing if she was struggling to put food on the table and find a home for her children and was living in a shack driving a 20 year old car. This woman was living in a very expensive house, driving expensive cars, going on amazing vacations. She and her children wear only expensive clothes. she flaunts her wealth. She is pathetic. Tax evasion is not a victimless crime. What if 50% of Americans did this? Absolutely do not feel bad about her going to jail.

Re: D-Day for Theresa Giudice
I have always thought and continue to think that she just does not have the level of intelligence needed to commit the crimes she is charged with (up through the part where they weren't providing the court with the requested documentation. Why she didn't comply is beyond me). Granted, all I "know" of her is what I see on a reality show but to me she is someone who is a follower, a puppet, and I'm sure she did whatever her DH said to do, without question. She is not a smart or savvy person. To me, she seems like a loyal wife. She also does not come across as malicious or deviant to me so I just have a hard time believing she knowingly committed these crimes. I do have sympathy for her to an extent but being stupid is not a valid defense.
From watching the show, it's evident she loves her daughters and is a good mother to them. I feel sad for them that they will not have her for the next 15 months. I hope for their sake she is let out a little early.

I know lots of women like that, especially when it comes to financial matters ,just blindly follow the husband. She might have known things weren't totally kosher, but I dont know if she knew the extent of things. He was the brains behind everything.
