Cycle Day 3 Question & IUI
This will be my first foray into IUI This morning I went in fo rmy blood work at my RE and I am waiting for a call back to let me know if its ok for me to start taking the Clomid.
Is ther any reason why they wouldn't tell me it wouldn't be ok? Just a little nervous and would love some input if anyone has any or has been through this before.
I did not have a sono done this morning.
Thanks!

Re: Cycle Day 3 Question & IUI
im surprised they didnt do a day 3 sono, IMO thats even more important than bloodwork since it checks for cysts and stuff.
however if you did have a cyst (which is one of a few reasons why a cycle would be delayed) it would prob come up in bloodwork with higher e2 anyway.
otherwise unless your hormones are wacky (ie high LH, high FSH...) you should be good to go.

Re: Cycle Day 3 Question & IUI
I just saw your other post that you see Dr. G at RMA. Me too! And I was there this morning for my bloodwork for an IUI, too! We're cycle buddies!!!
Basically, today they are checking that your hormone levels are appropriate to begin Clomid. If it hasn't dropped enough, they'll have you come back in another day or 2, retested and then start Clomid. Likely you'll get the go-ahead today. You'll go back on CD 10 or 12, depending on your cycle length, and have a sono to determine when you'll trigger.
My advice? Don't worry about E2 and all your hormone levels. Trust that the drs and nurses at RMA know what they're doing - because they do! I find it must less stressful when I just do what they tell me to and don't Google too much.

oh my goodness! i was there at like 7:40am and left at 8am! if you were there around the same time, i wonder if i saw you! (not that i know what you look like, but still ) i did a google search after the pp said all that stuff about estradiol.... Did you do a sonogram as well or just the bloodwork? I thought i would have to do the sono but the nurses told me no. Do you know around what time they usually call you to let you know if you can stat the clomid or not? Thanks so much!

Re: Cycle Day 3 Question & IUI
at my RE they only do sono's since they are checking for cysts...the bloodwork I guess would show it if it was big enough
