current re-fi rates?
we are currently paying about 4.65 on our 30 year fixed which was closed on in July of 2011.
any ideas what current rates are for 30-year re-fis? Currently with Wells Fargo, excellent credit etc.

Bethpage is 3.5% today for 30 yr fixed. We are thinking about doing this, but its close to 5k in closing costs. I know we'll save it over the life of the loan...just tough to come up with that money now.

when we refinanced in 2009 with Bethpage, we kept the mortgage value the same and paid about 3500. The quotes they gave us were way off! Also you can always roll the closing into your mortgage, but changing the value of the mortgage can increase the closing costs.
For a 30yr, I have been seeing 3.375-3.5%

We rolled our CC into the mortgage. It increased our payment by $7/month I think. We refinanced with BFCU as well this year and are at 3.5%.

Re: current re-fi rates?
I would call up Wells and see what they are offering. We refi'd last april (oddly enough right before the rates went super low, go figure). It was kind of a pain because we went with another bank and needed a CEMA. In any case, any bank you choose, the rates are great right now! could kick myself in the butt for not waiting.

Re: current re-fi rates?
Does anyone know what the Re-Fi rates are for a 15 year fixed? or 10 year fixed?
We refinanced a year ago to a 15 year and got a 3.375% rate curious what it is now and if its worth it to get a 10 year possibly since we have 14 years left.

Re: current re-fi rates?
My DH is in the business...
We re-fi'd about 6 months ago to 3.25% and dropped down to a 15 year. He said that you can get 3.49% (with no points) on a 30 year now. FM if you'd like his contact info!

Re: current re-fi rates?
Call and see if Wells is still offering a Three Step Re-Fi. You dont get the lowest rate but it is 100% free. I did it twice but now they are only offering in on loans as of a certain date. Cant remember what the date is though but worth a shot to try. I lowered my rate over 1 point for free a few years ago!

Welcome! Good luck! The only thing is you dont get the current market rate but its free!! And you "close at home". Mail back some paperwork and poof a lower rate!
