There were people who I Seriously Disliked at one point. Maybe I thought I hated them. But I have changed my point of view on those people since then, so I probably didn't hate them to begin with.
I also think that I tend to exaggerate on occasion. Adam's always making fun of me for that. So while I think someone might use the word hate, they probably don't mean it in the way some might think.

I reserve the word hate for people who go totally overboard in wrong doing towards me or my family in person but there are a few here and there that "irk" me. It has gotten better recently though...

I definitely don't hate anyone.... I don't know anyone well enough to hate them and no one has ever done anything to me personally.
I could potentially hate the way someone acts on the boards, the way someone posts, hate someone's comments, I might even go so far as to say that I "can't stand" the person but not hate.

IMO, hate is a strong word when using it about a person because you probably don't know the person you're "hating" well enough to really hate them. It easy and fine to hate a flavor of ice cream or your job, or working out - etc - these are inanimate things. To hate a person with a history and feelings, and a life, and loved ones, etc... without really knowing them or where they came from -- well, I think that's harsh term to use.
ETA: Assuming this 'unknown' person hasn't done anything to harm or hurt you specifically.

I think people tend to forget that some people have been posting together for years! I think chatting back and forth with someone over three years gives me the right to hate them.

Don't get me wrong, some days when the drama is crazed I have been known to sit here and think to myself "ahhhh I HATE so and so, he/she is such a mean nasty thing"
BUT do I TRULY "hate" them? Naaaaaaaaaah I don't think it goes quite that deep for me

I haven't been here hearly long enough to HATE anyone, or have problems with anyone either. I'm enough of a regular where I enjoy speaking to a lot of people here, but I have never been involved with any drama or seen anything that just made me really dislike anyone here. I'm annoyed by a few comments one person has made, but it was never personal and I've kept that opinion to myself.

yeah, I don't know about everyone else here, but everytime I said I hated someone when I was a kid, It was drilled into my head by my parents that "HATE is a very strong word, blah blah blah" That's the only reason why I think it's a strong word today! Thanks MOM!!
