Haven’t read or watched anything yet but so now what I know Someone takes over for now. But will there be an election in November this year? Was he up for re-election?

His impeachment was just a matter of time...I think he wanted to avoid that.

Yes, he would have run for re-election. There will be a new Democrat on the ticket but who - I have no idea.

The election is in Nov 22 - and the new governor will take office in Jan 23.
Kathy Hochul will be governor until then.
I heard Leticia James will be the democratic candidate but we shall see.

Isn’t he out after this year or is he running again. I’m pretty sure the NYC mayor is up for election this year or am i wrong. (Clearly I don’t follow when elections are very well at all lol)

DeBlasio is done after this year - his second term is ending and there is a two term limit. There is an election taking place in Nov so DeBlasio will be with us until January.
