If you could only afford to do one or the other this year and they were the same price would you...
Go on a 3 night Bahamas cruise (with baby)
or
Get a new macbook laptop?
You need both!

It depends - do you have another computer that is ok to use for the next year that you can get by with? If so, I would go for the cruise.
If you have no computer an no access to one, I would get a computer!

A CRUISE!!! With a vacation you create so many memories that you will cherish forever!! A laptop not so much
I vote vacation!!!!! A cruise with a baby, infant or any child at any age is the best vacation in the world.

I agree. I think I'd rather stab my eyes out than to go on a cruise with a baby.

We have an imac now that DH uses for freelance work and I have an ibook that is about to bust any second.
ETA: the cruise would most definitely be with DD!

Cruising with a child is really easy. But I guess it depends on the child. We brought Andrew when he was almost 2 and had the best time. I would love to go with Alexa but it is not an option for us right now.
Cruises have babysitters to if you want some alone time.
Go to the library for now to use the computer It is also good to get away for a little but and recharge the batteries

laptop- if you said a weeks cruise then maybe.
i just came back from a weekend away and I packed so much stuff for the two kids it was a PITA so for three days I would say no.

I'd get a less expensive laptop and take a long weekend somewhere. Then you get both.
If I had to choose one, it would be the laptop.

I agree.
you already live in Florida so for ME, the cruise would have to be someplace geographically different....different climate, different waters, different SOMETHING.
I wouldn't sacrafice a new laptop for a 3 day cruise.
I might try to scrape up the funds for a night or two in a nice spot in FL though...maybe the keys or Miami or St. Augustine.

We are a Mac family but i would chose cruise over laptop!!
we are actually looking into a cruise ourselves for may leaving out of nj but i think it might not be hot enough out on the open seas in may.

id say the macbook ...the cruise is 3 days. you can do a "staycation" for less $$ or something local for 3 days. the macbook..do you need it for work purposes?
i guess it all depends which one you need more.
