cross post re: pregnancy and baby aspirin

Has anyone been prescribed baby aspirin for pregnancy and had a successful outcome? I am recently pregnant but previously had a miscarriage. The doctor just prescribed progesterone and baby aspirin (just in case) - I have never had any bloodwork diagnosing any clotting disorder.

I am really nervous about any potential risks related to the baby aspirin (i.e. miscarriage, bleeding out) but I also really want this pregnancy to continue. The Dr. seemed to say there weren't any risks. I know that many people here have been on it and I appreciate any information. Sorry so long-winded.

Thanks!!Chat Icon

Baby asprin is one of the best preventatives for miscarriage. You would be suprised how many miscarriages are caused by immune and clotting issues.

Unless you are prone for ulcers...baby asprin usually poses no harm.

Btw, your doctor can run and immune panel on you for clotting disorders while pregnant. You may want to look into that.

Have a happy and healthy pregnancy !!!

My sister swears by baby asprin. She tried to get preggo for 18 months. The first month she started taking baby asprin, she got her BFP!Chat Icon Chat Icon
