cross post- Anaheim/LA

A quick trip, 4 full days, plus 2 days for travel. We would be staying with family, so we don't need a hotel. The trip will fall over the weekend, so on Saturday & Sunday we will hang out with family and do stuff by their house, which is about 30 min. outside of Anaheim. We are looking for stuff to do Friday & Monday, while they are at work. We fly in on Thursday, and fly home on Tuesday. Should we do 1 day Disneyland, 1 day California Adventure? Or just choose 1 park for 1 day, and do something else the other day? Our kids range from 1-6. If we should just do one day in Disney, which park is better? Any fun ideas for the 2nd day? TIA! Legoland in Escondido
Yes, two days is perfect for Disneyland and the Adventure Park.

Search my name and the travel board with the key word California to find my review of our trip there with kids similar ages.

The parks are small compared to Disneyworld. I would do the 2 day park hopper which you can buy online as a citypass for a discount or have the family that lives there buy the Disney tickets...southern California residents get a discount. I think two days are the park is perfect.

We just came back from Disneyland recently. We did 5 days in the parks and it was great. I would do at least 1 day at each, but you still won't get to everything. The parks are smaller, but there are the same amount of attractions as there are in all 4 parks at WDW combined.

Definitely do Cars Land at California Adventure. It's amazing, so realistic. Go back and ride Radiator Springs Racers again at night, totally different vibe. LOVED it! World of Color at California Adventure is awesome. We did the dessert party, pricey but so worth it since we had tables to sit at, and didn't have to fight a crowd hours in advance to line up. Also at California Adventure, definitely go to the Redwood Creek Challenge area. It's tons of climbing nets, tire swings, rock wall, and it's all themed like a National Park in the forest. My kids played there for a long time!

If you are looking to see the most characters for your buck, book the Minnie's Breakfast at Disneyland for breakfast. There are TONS of characters there.

Also, new Max Pass system came out recently. $10 per person per day. Read up on it.

Disneyland Daily on FB is my go to...she is GREAT! Definitely research on her pages!
You can't use Southern California discount tickets if you don't have a SoCal ID. They check at the gate. Check L@st minute travel club for tickets. We saved about $150 on ours through them. I also wouldn't bother hopping. Spend the full day at each park.
