Re: Crib Mobile
I wouldn't get one just for decorative purposes-- we still use the base (the music part) with DD who will be 3 in 6 weeks-- we clipped it on the side of her bedrail.
We used the music to symbolize night night time, and also when they are very little-- the mobile gives them some entertainment in the crib.
Can't say enough good things about the Tiny Love ones...
FTR, we had a decorative one that matched our bedding from PBK. That was a waste-- not getting one for this kid.

Re: Crib Mobile
The matchy cute ones are a total waste. But the tiny love ones are great! DS is 21 months and we stll have the base part in his crib and he plays the music every night.

Re: Crib Mobile
The Tiny Love ones are great! Like baby crack. When DS was an infant he wanted to be held all the time. Putting him in the crib and turning on the mobile was the only thing that would keep him occupied long enough so I could shower!

Re: Crib Mobile
I agree with everyone, the ones that match the bedding sets aren't useful. I am going to get a tiny love one this time!

Re: Crib Mobile
I was planning on getting the sleep sheep and twilight turtle, do you think these are sufficient?

Re: Crib Mobile
LIke others have said, the matching mobiles are a waste - with DD #1 we returned it after a week. What we did get is a CD player that we put in her room and made a CD full of lullabies that signaled bedtime during her bedtime routine. And we hung a ceiling mobile above her crib to give her something to look at
it is similar to this butterfly mobile but our is in color

I have these for DS. We still use the sleep sheep for every nap/bedtime. The twilight turtle he likes too. I think they are sufficient but they don't play any music.

Re: Crib Mobile
When DS was an infant I got him this. He used it until he started pulling up about 7 months old. He loved it! It came with a remote.
