Crazy Weekend: not TTCR
So (im making a long story real short), on Saturday DH were working on adding an upstairs bathroom to our house. I worked with him all day then around 430 i decided that i needed to relax before going out for dinner and drinks for my bday. About 550 i hear DH screaming my name like i have never heard someone scream. I see him running towards our back door from oustide. I jump off the couch and go outside and DH says he cut his hand with the circular saw. I jump into high gear get shoes, keys, towel etc and run back outside. I wrap his hand without even looking at it. Jump in car and off to ER. DH passes out while on the way for about 30 seconds. Get to the hospital and finally see it.
***TMI WARNING** He sliced off the back of his thumb, bone exposed, some skin hanging some missing. He also cut between his thumb and forefinger into his palm about an inch. EVERYTHING exposed. ***END OF TMI***
10 different people look at him and decide he needs to be transported to Winthrop for emergency reconstructive hand surgery. So after seeing Dr. at Winthrop he says DH will get surgery on Sunday. After a 3 1/2 hour surgery he came out ok. We came home a couple hours ago. He is feeling pretty good but has a LONG road ahead as far as recovery. He severed the main tendon in his thumb, 2 tendons in his pointer and one in his middle finger. He is still missing quite a bit of skin and might need skin grafting in the future. Please pray for DH that he gets through this ok. It was the most horrible thing I have ever seen.
I am just so happy to have him here with me and it is not life threatening. I am so blessed to have himin my life. So, TTC is kind of on a back burner for now during his recovery, but Im not even caring....Im just happy he is ok. It has really made me appreciate him and our lives together, whether we have children or not.

i hope he feels better and sending lots of prayers and hugs and pain killers to u both!

Thank goodness he is okay! What a story!
You are very right about remembering what is important in life. Everytime I start to feel down I count all of the blessings I do have and it makes me happy again.
Lots of wishes for a speedy recovery!!

Oh my gosh!!! Thank God you got him to the hospital so quickly and that he is going to be ok. I wish him a speedy recovery.
