Crazy sleep deprived Mom looses it part II...(at the pediatricians)
I was convinced something must be wrong with this child so I called Dr. Cavanagh's office to bring her in. I saw one of his associates who basically laughed in my face and said she a colicky baby and could be that way for months. I started bawling yet again. All I could say to DH was that Dr. Cavanagh would have been more supportive of me.

Whatever! That was nasty of the ped!! Obviously you are upset, he COULD have been nicer to you.

No way would Dr. Cavanagh EVER say such a thing He has the greatest bedside manner of any doc I have ever met... that's why everyone loves him.
I am so sorry the other doctor was so insensitive Considering how sleep deprived you are he really could have been more supportive. You would think docs would remember the sleep deprivation of med school and be more sympathetic.
I'm not one for telling tales out of school but maybe you should casually mention this to Dr. Cavanagh next time you see him.
OK, now you need to FM me the name of the doc cause you know we go there too
I really hope things calm down soon

Dr. Cavanaugh, Pediatric Superhero, would have never said somethingk like that. He would have used his powers to immediately calm her & you down.
Obviously some evil being as infiltrated his fortress! Boo Hiss to Evil!

DH rolled his eyes because I'll admit the Dr. was matter of fact is all. I laughed it off because otherwise I would have lost it again.

Let's hope the colicky stage passes quickly. It's definitely a terrible thing to have to go through, I've been there, unfortunately.
And to that insensitive doctor ....come on...doesn't he realize that he could have said things a little differently to a mom who recently gave birth and probably has hormones that are all wacky. Some people are clueless
