crashing - obgyn question/recommendation

Hi ladies - I'm not TTC now, but hope to be soonish. Ideally, for a variety of reasons, I want to deliver at NSLIJ (the one in New Hyde Park), but can't find a doctor anywhere near me that is affiliated with NSLIJ. My doctor right now is with NYU. I live in Brooklyn, which is why it's more difficult, I guess. I'd go to a dr anywhere in Manhattan or Brooklyn, and maybe Queens depending where it was. Does anyone have any suggestions?

ETA: good luck to all of you! Chat Icon

he delivered me!!

he was the on call doctor at LIJ when i had to have an emergency c-section. when they opened me up they discovered i had placenta accreta and there was talk of a hysterectomy to stop the bleeding, however dr. scarantino saw that i was only 29 and it was my first baby, and he spent two hours getting the placenta out and avoiding a hysterectomy.

i dont remember much about his bedside manner cause i was very sick and out of it, but i do know he is a good surgeon!! i am thinking about switching to him for #2 in a few years, we'll see what happens. good luck!

Women for Women obgyn is associated with that hospital. I see Dr. Christine Duncan from that group.
