Coxsacki;e Virus
My boss just brought his almost 2 year old son into the office and let me know that he had the coxsackie virus. The kid was running around touching various things in the office.
Not only am I livid that he brought an infected child in (he is a very inconsiderate person), but now I'm also nervous. What can I do to prevent from catching this? I didn't touch the child and I frequently wash and sanitize my hands.

DD had it while I was pregnant. There is not much specifically you can do to avoid catching it other than what you already mentioned. I didn't catch it, neither did DH or anyone else who was inadvertently exposed.
From what I read it is not nearly as common for adults to catch it, and it's not especially dangerous to pregnant women or unborn babies.
Hopefully you'll be fine!

Ack - it is uncommon for adults to catch it and they are usually not contagious anymore once the blisters start. That being said, DS and DH BOTH have coxsackie right now, so adults can catch it. I'd just be careful washing hands and sanitizing. Usually once they know it is coxsackie, the contagious period is over. I'm sure you'll be ok!
