Coxsacki virus and pregnant!!!!

We're taking the twins to the pediatrician now. Daycare called me today just to let me know coxsacki virus was in the room. When we picked the kids up today, we found out someone else was sent home with a fever and possibly has coxsacki. Another girl was diagnosed this morning with it. We get home and ds has a fever. Soooo, I'm pregnant. I have an appt tomorrow so I'll ask my dr and I'll ask the Ped tonight. But could this be harmful to me or the baby? Also, is there any chance that DD won't catch it? TIA!

My OBs laughed when I asked if I should be concerned. I had coxsackie's over thankgsiving when I was pregnant with DD#2. I was about 3 months. I didn't get a fever though only the worst sore throat I have every had in my life. DD#1 had a horrible case and could barely swallow - and drooled all over everything. We constantly cloroxed but the ped and OB said she probably gave it to me before she showed any symptoms.

I did a google search and from what I can tell you and baby should be fine.

You should be fine..my dd had it in the early stages of my 2nd pregnancy ( and my preggo family member was also around my dd who was further along in her pregnancy).. We were both fine
My ob said not to worry...it is more dangerous when u r at38+ weeks preggo..her ob said not to worry as well
I was scared at first!

Thanks Ladies It is confirmed DS has it and so far (knock on wood) DD is fine! Her immune system has always been better than his. he's the "weaker twin", so I'm hoping she doesn't get it. The pediatricia said there is no harm to me or the baby either
