Counter top options?
I really love granite, but it's not really necessary for us to spend that kind of money on our bar top and counter (we're building a small bar in the basement and it will only be used when we have guests over).
Are there any options that look really nice but aren't as pricey as granite? I'm not crazy about silestone, corian, or zodiaq......

Re: Countertop options?
We're doing slate tile on the floor, so maybe slate on the countertop or concrete might work.....

We have tile on the kitchen counters and although it looks nice, it's a PAIN to clean. Crumbs get caught in the grout!

Re: Counter top options?
Slate would look good. There is also Quartz which is cheaper than granite. For something unique you can also look at stainless steel.
