cosleepers
we coslept with our older two and didn't really use the crib. (they could not STTN no matter what we did and we got better sleep cosleeping
DD is my third and she did will in the bassinet/cosleeper and transitioned to crib...OK. She would STTN 1-2 x a week (great for our kids!) and the other nights would take a bottle and go right back out until morning.
We took away the overnight bottle and she cannot STTN ever. So we take her into our bed, b/c we are half asleep and too tired to deal. We finally realized that she will also cosleep with us too.
She's 11 months. Do I need to keep the crib? My older two went into a bed around 20-24 months. I feel like I might like to free up space.

Re: cosleepers
I wish I could help you with advice- but I'm a co-sleeping newbie- maybe take it apart and store somewhere just to be safe? Would imagine you won't need it - that she might just go into a toddler bed?
We never co-slept with our older two but our youngest is 12 months and he ends up in our bed around midnight and has been demanding two bottles its all my fault- too tired to deal - have had illness in the family, etc.
Would love to pick your brain one day about how you got your older two to transition out of your bed

We attached the crib to our bed like a side car with DS. Our bed is only a queen and it gave us a lot more space.
Does she nap in the crib? I'm not sure if you need it for that.
Otherwise, if you plan to continue co-sleeping and you have enough room in your bed, you probably don't need it.

DD is 13 months and we are trying to get her out of our bed, and our ped said don't even try the crib and just put her in a bed with rails.

Re: cosleepers
She naps in a crib at daycare, but I have stopped putting her in her crib for naps over the summer while I'm home for bc DH WAH and we put her in his office. He is constantly on conference calls, so it wakes her up.
We are in a pretty small house, so I would love to get rid of it. Maybe putting it in the attic is a good idea until we move (we hope to sell/buy in spring)
For the older two, we just let them climb in in the middle of the night if they woke up. It eventually got less and less. We would also carry them back sometimes too, so they would wake up in their bed.

Re: cosleepers
similar situation here. For the life of me, I cannot get DD into her crib. She's 10 months now...we plan to continue co-sleeping until she's one...and then I'm thinking of putting her straight into her own bed with rails.

This is what one of my friends did. I think he went in real bed at like14 months. We are still cosleeping at 9 months, but ready to make transition more because I think we are disturbing his sleep now.
