copays & prenatals
Just curious what everyone's copay is on prescription prenatals ?
I picked up 1 month and it was $40
I thought that was outrageous.

I think I oayed around the same with DS. You can try asking your Dr. for a generic version, that should cut down the cost a lot.

did your doc say that you can take OTC vitamins? i know many girls do.. and it would be much cheaper! $40 a month is alot.. its such a rip-off

I used OTC when I was pregnant, they are all the same, no prescription needed

thats how i feel too... they are the same... its just the "name brand" against the "generic brand"

I got an OTC prenatals for DS. I showed them to my OBs and she said it was fine. I got the Rx once from another OB. It was $30/month. No way.
The OTC is a prenatal. Has 800mcg. And it's $10 for 50 of them.
ETA: I asked my OB again about the OTC this time around and she said it was still fine.

Two years ago I believe it was about $35 per month from the drug store so my doctor wrote a 90-day Rx (with 3 refills) for me and I use the mail order program from my insurance. At that time it was $90 for the 90-day supply. Recently when I filled my Rx it was $118 
But I like these pills and my doctor prefers them so I haven't considered switching.

$50 for Primacare1, its insane. MY OB gave me a ton of samples so I haven't taken anything yet.

wow.... I thought my copay was outrageous. Guess not, everyone seems to be paying alot.
I checked my medical, they only cover generic prenatals, which is why I'm paying $40. so I will be switching to those.
