Cookie Platter
I was requested to make a "cookie platter" for Thanksgiving. I have some questions regarding this.
Background: When I think of a cookie platter, it usually has at least three kinds of cookies.
So I am going to make: -Pumpkin Chocolate Chip -Rainbow Cookies -Rum Balls
(I know the pumpkin chocolate chip are amazing, I have never attempted the rainbow or rum balls before, so I don't know if they will be used- but let's pretend they come out OK)...
1. Are rum balls even considered a cookie?
2. Do I need to add another cookie or do you think the three choices I listed are good enough for this "cookie platter"?
3. If I was to add a fourth cookie, do you think Banana Chocolate Chip would be OK? or is that lame since I already have pumpkin chocolate chip?
4. I need enough cookies for 12 adults. Do I make sure I have at least 12 cookies of each kind? How many should I have total and how many of each kind?

Re: Cookie Platter
I think those are great choices and would be happy with all But you may want to add one more not chocolate - maybe a plain old sugar or butter cookie?
ETA: will there be other desserts? For 12 people I'd say at least 3-4 dozen cookies especially if they're small.

Re: Cookie Platter
sorry to say but i think you need another basic cookie
a sugar cookie is a good idea. and you can get the premade dough too. easy peasy.

Re: Cookie Platter
If you are not the only dessert you are good to go, if you are add one more non chocolate.
