Convertible Car Seat?
Looking into the following convertible car seats:
1) Chicco NextFit
2) All the Britax ones (Marathon, Advocate, and Boulevard) -- what's the big difference between them besides price?
Can anyone shed some light? Which one do you have and what do you like/dislike about it? DD is not ready for one yet (still in her infant one), but I have a bunch of Buy Buy Baby store credit, so figured I'd purchase it now and just store it in the basement. Thanks!

Convertible Car Seat?
We have the Chico and love it..it seemed much more comfy and sturdy than the britax

I like the marathon and nextfit. I'd hold off on getting it so you have a later expiration date, but I'm a nut!

Convertible Car Seat?
I have 2 next fits. Highly rated by consumer reports and I think it had a good price point. Fits well in my CRV and Accord. Don't have a British so I can't compare. I couldn't justify spending more fora safe and easy to install seat. I also agree about waiting until you need it. Store credit isn't going anywhere.

Convertible Car Seat?
Thanks, everyone! Great advice to wait it out for a later expiration date -- I didn't even think of that! Anyone have any idea on the differences between the 3 Nextfit models? Looks there is a regular Nextfit ($299), a Nextfit CX ($329), and a Nextfit Zip ($349). I have an older version of the Baby Bargains book but it was before there were all these different models.

Convertible Car Seat?
Definitely wait til you're going to use it so you get longer use out of it before it expires.
We have a nextfit in my moms car and it's compact but I don't like the high sides so for us, I'm glad we don't have it as a regular seat. But that's personal preference. I don't know what the cx model is but the difference between the regular and zip is that the zip's cover comes off easily.
I don't know too much about the britax seats and their differences but I'll post a chart that explains it all.
I personally prefer graco seats because they're compact enough to fit in most cars, much cheaper but also completely safe, highly recommended, and have the same or similar height and weight limits as the chicco or britax seats.

Is there a specific Graco one you like?
I have the 4Ever and the Milestone. They rear face, forward face (harness) and turn into high back boosters (4Ever also turns into a low back booster)
The other Gracos I'd look into are any of the ones on this chart except for the Myride (bulkier and outgrown by height before weight)
