Controversial, I know, so FM me...
Tell me which Suffolk School Districts you feel are the best and which should be avoided. I don't even need logical reasons. Just your opinion.
Posting not necessary...FM me...actually I prefer it. You know what they say...if you have nothing nice to say.....

Huh? What does THAT have to do with anything woman??? Ugh.... to be honest...I'm just not feeling very photogenic these days. The hair looks fine... it's everything else.... so I'm avoiding it!

I only really know anything first hand about Sayville Schools and Connetquot Schools, and I think they are both good districts.

I say this because of the diversity of programs they offer. For example, Northport offers everything from tech education (shop class) to an International Baccalaurette Degree program.
I originally had another district but it is so small and so exclusive. I'd worry that my kids weren't being exposed to as many different socio-economic groups as possible. I deleted it from the list.
One good thing about SD #4 (Northport) is LOW taxes due to LIPA. I have a lg. colonial on a 1/2 acre. In any other district my taxes would be about 3K more a year.

I only have experience with South Manor(Manorville)/West Islip/Connetquot and would say that all 3 are very good districts.

I would avoid Brentwood based on friends who went there
Bayshore is undergoing huge improvements. My Sister is the president of the PTA there. My two nephews are in an integral program only bayshore offers, its a bi-lingual program. They learn in spanish and in english, both kids have now had tests scores in the top 2% of the nation and are being followed by a television network for a report on their success from k-high school. They are truly explanding and I would say not to worry about Bayshore in a few years it will be considered a good district .

I grew up in Babylon, its a small district and i think its a pretty good one.
My daughter is going there now, but we just bought a house in East Islip SD, so she wont be there next year.

Off topic, but....Freeport does that too in one of there elementary schools...
