Contractor Vent
I just want to know why???? If you were a contractor and the homeowners put paper and padding on top of their brand new granite countertops, would you pick all that up out of your way? They didn't need to get to anything for the counter itself. We show up at lunch time and they have tools and wood all over the countertops.   . I yell at the guys, they cover it and say, "Granite doesn't scratch".   WHAT? I guess he should have another job and I should get another contractor. I can't take this remodel anymore. I told my General Contractor that if there are any scratches I will let him know so he can get the other company back in to polish them out. I just can't believe the carelessness of some people.

I'm very grrrrrrrrr right now! I yelled when I walked in the door and even my general contractor didn't say anything after I yelled. It was kind of funny now that I think about it. He dropped his phone and went to help them put everything back in place.

None given and I didn't even ask. He just said "granite doesn't scratch".  Even if granite didn't scratch, why move it. It was even taped down with painters tape.
