Constipation and prunes/prune juice
DS is constipated and is passing little hard nuggets of poo. Its been like this since Thursday. We tried giving a little prune juice on Friday and Saturday, but he didn't really want it, so he barely got anything. Today I gave half a container of stage 1 prunes. How long until I can expect results or try something else?
Also, can babies get hemorhoids? TIA!

I use pear juice. works wonders for DD.

We do prunes but found the pear juice or pears work fine too.
It usually works w/i a number of hours
PS--I heard water helps too

It took a couple of days for it to really help DS when we had to use it but, that may have been b/c he didn't want the prune juice either...we fought all day to get him to take a tiny bit. We never tried the actual prunes though. Hope it gets better soon

for my DS i had given it at 8 am and he pooped at about 5 pm.
But it definitely worked

i put a couple of teaspoons of prune juice in her bottle 2x a day to keep her regular - the r/c binds her...

I put a TBSP of prune juice in DD's cereal after 4 days of no poop, she went the next day.
Have you given him apples or pears yet?
I saw in previous posts that he gets rice, are you giving oatmeal too? That might help. Rice can be very binding.
