constant pain in the butt and leg
Am i the only one who find it very hurtful to get out of bed or a chair. I have pain from my butt and sometime down the back of my leg. It makes me walk funny. Every time i turn in bed the pain wakes me up.

Re: constant pain in the butt and leg
I have the same pains too. Laying in bed at night as become so horrible. I barely get any sleep because of the pain of moving around.
I believe its my sciatic nerve that is causing the pain. I had this with my first pregnancy.
When I go back to the OB I am going to ask him more about it.
For now I just lay with a heating pad on my lower back and deal with it. For me it only hurts at night when I am in bed and when I get up in the morning. After I walk around for a while it usually gets better..or well enough that I am not in excruciating pain like at night.

Re: constant pain in the butt and leg
I do experience this - I have been since 14 weeks and I am now 18 weeks. My doctor said it was sciatica and that the only thing I could do was take tylenol and use a heating pad.
I noticed that, when I am getting out of bed, it helps if I move my legs together rather than moving one first.
Also, I try to sit with proper posture - which seems to be helping a little bit.
It still hurts a lot, but this week it felt a little less. Sorry you are dealing with this - it just plain sucks!

Re: constant pain in the butt and leg
it sounds like your sciatic nerve, I had the same pain during my second trimester. Sometimes it would get so bad I couldn't even walk. I found that a heating pad helped, and once when it got REALLY bad I went for a prenatal massage and went to my chiropractor, both of which helped a lot. Feel better

Could be posterior pelvic pain? I started a thread about this here: Thread on PPP

Re: constant pain in the butt and leg
sounds like my sciatica. i can't wait for it to end! try to keep your hips square when you move, sleep with a body pillow, use a heating pad, and be careful about lifting.
