Constant accidents
I'm at a loss with what to do with DS1. He is 3.5 and has been going poop on the toilet for about 6 months. We transitioned him to underwear about a month ago. He pees in his pants at least once a day. I remind him to go and he refuses and then 10 minutes later I see that his pants and underwear are wet. He is starting to lie to me and say he spilled water on them. We do not yell at him when he has an accident, we put him on the potty as soon as we see it and ask him to go, but he still pees everywhere else. One time, he went to the bathroom, took off his clothes, and peed on the floor... He was right there and he chose to pee on the floor... We've tried rewards for staying dry, but he doesn't care about them. Any advice or suggestions?

Re: Constant accidents
My son was doing the same exact thing. So frustrating. The only thing that worked for us, is I set a timer and every time it rings he has to go to the bathroom and try. In the beginning I set it for every 2 hours.
Also I don't ask him anymore if he has to go to the bathroom. I tell him he has to go. If he fights me, I'll turn off the TV, take away the toy he's playing, etc. etc.

Re: Constant accidents
Have you tried him going commando? The underwear can feel like a diaper and give him a sense of security.
I also agree with pp suggestions.

No reminders physically walk him to the potty every hour. At events we set our alarms for every 45 minutes. Dd doesn't get a choice we lead her to the potty. Dd gets easily distracted and doesn't want to go. Accidents we just say we go pee or poops in the potty but don't make it a big deal.
