Re: confused . .school budget vote

Our Super makes about $350,000 a year. You CANNOT make me a believer that he needed or deserved an extra $80,000 a year more than the children needed or deserved textbooks and the teachers needed instructional supplies. PRIORITIES!

You are making $350,000 a year, you DO NOT need more money, not at the cost of the taxpayers, students and teachers. You know what happens, you cut instructional supplies and who picks that up anyway, parents do, with a never ending request for more classroom supplies. I pay for basic classroom needs (in a very good district) so someone already bringing home $350,000 a year can get a 10% raise? BS. BS.

You do not need a raise when you are making close to half a million a year, please. That is a want, not a need. A NEED is textbooks, supplies, sports equipment, programs outside of this horrific common core, like music and theater, to enrich our children and make them well-rounded. Half of the things I mentioned that took a hit to their budget for this vote could have been saved if you tally it up and compare it to the cost of the raise. That raise would've covered a lot of these cuts.

(Edited to edit salary, I was off by $50K, not that it makes my point moot since all 3 of our Asst Supers make about $250K, which is more that a lot of Supers in some districts)
