Confused and Impatient
Hi Ladies!
I just recently joined the boards and have learned a LOT of information about TTC from your posts.
I ended the pill this month.....got AF on Dec. 6th.........although I did not test yet for ovulation....my body is cramping and i know that I am ovulating this week due to the ovulation calculator online and other basic signs. My DH and I have been BD'ing every day. I am in the middle of my ovulation period and my DH keeps saying I just have this feeling your pregnant......let's take a test!. I know its TOO early to test, but when is the earliest that I can? Is it even possible to ovulate so soon after being on the pill for 10 years? Anyone ever know someone to get pregnant immediately after coming off the pill?
These questions seem to be all that consume my mind lately. I guess this will be my new adventure! LOL

To answer your questions:
-The earliest I'd suggest testing is 13 DPO (or, 13 days after you ovulate). With certain pregnancy tests, you can test 4 days before your period is due - but the accuracy is only around 60% at that time, and since it's your first month off the pill.. you really can't be sure if/when you ovulated and/or when AF is due.
-Yes, it's possible to ovulate right after coming off the pill.
-Many women have gotten pregnant immediately after coming off the pill. Keep in mind however, that many women take much longer after coming off to get pregnant.

This is all so new to me......I can see myself totally becoming consumed with this whole process. I have only been thinking about all this for about a month and it seems to be now in my every thought.
Ive been cramping a lot and have (Sorry TMI) a lot of sticky discharge......Im reading that these are signs of ovulation....Is this true?

Sticky? That's not really the fertile kind.
You want to look for either watery, or EWCM (egg white cervical mucous) that literally looks like the consistency of egg whites.

Best of luck to you. My sister got pg right after coming off the pill! But don't get discouraged if you don't its more likely it will take take a few months so just try to relax and enjoy it!

Just wanted to let you know, I got PG the fist month off of the pill. Unfortunately, I m/c'd, but you absolutely can get PG the first month off the pill.
Good luck and try and hold out a little longer to test!
