confused about O
This is my third month using the CBE Digital OPK's and I think I am confused, and would really, really appreciate some help.
First month, I started testing with only FMU on CD 8 and got on CD 12. Didn't test after this. Had a 24 day cycle.
I did the same exact thing the second month, tested with only FMU and got on CD 12 - took a test on CD 13, and no smiley. Had a 25 day cycle.
This month, I started testing with FMU on CD 10 (figuring I would get a smiley on CD 12 like in the past) but to my surprise, I got a right then and there on CD 10. I decided to take another test when I got home from work and no smiley. I even took tests the next two days, (convinced something was wrong and was due to get a pos OPK on CD 12) but no more smileys for me.
My questions are, (and I am so sorry if these are silly ) but how do you determing DPO? Does DPO reflect the number of days after getting a positive OPK? (So in this case, if I am currently on CD 15 and got a pos OPK on CD 10, I am 5 DPO?)
Also, is it possible to have o'd and receive a at the same time?
Or is it that your indicates o hasn't happened yet and will happen anytime from then on, within 12 - 24 hours?
I appreciate any and all help and guidance. Thank you!

Re: confused about O
i would say that you count the day after the smile as 1DPO (meaning that for you this month, CD11 would be 1DPO)
Also, receiving a positive on an opk just indicates that you will O in the next 12-36 hours. Being that you didnt get a positive on CD11...you figure you O'd already.
hope that helps good luck

The most accurate way to determine dpo is to temp. Just because you get a smiley does not necessarily mean you will ovulate. When you see a thermal shift on your chart for more than 3 days, the. You can accurately say that dpo1 is day one of the thermal shift.
