Conceiving after M/C

For any of you that M/C - how long did it take you to then conceive?

I miscarried and had a D&C on 2/9/07. My cycles are still messed up. I'm starting Prometrium tonight to jump start AF. I'm hitting a wall - I want to be preggo now!

I had a D&C Jan 5, waited 2 cycles (they seemed to have gone back to my original cycle from pre-pregnancy), we got pg first month clear!

So, less than 3 months after the D&C you were pregnant? My cycles are just not cooperating!

I had my D&C in November, waited two cycles and got pregnant again (early February).

I never got my cycle and conceived right away again. I miscarried on Sept. 4th and conceived somehwere around Oct. 10th i believe.

Hi there...I did not have a d&c but I miscarried in September and got pregnant in November. My cycles returned to normal the month after the m/c but maybe that's because I didn't have the d&c...not sure. I wanted to offer you and hope to see you over on this board soon!

I'm sorry for your loss.....

I had a d&C on Sept 7th, had my first cycle Oct 13th, got pregnant Oct 29-31 sometime.... so one cycle for me, first try!!

i had a m/c in may, waited 3 cycles before i could ttc again and then didnt get pg again until nov...

I got pg in September when we weren't ttc and I m/c in early October (before 5 weeks, so no D/C here). My doctor said wait one cycle before trying....
So we waited one cycle and got pg on the second cycle of trying in December. Hope this helps.
Oh and I am almost 26 weeks now, but I won't lie the fear of another m/c made my first trimester very LONG!

I had a natural m/c at 5.5 weeks before DD. I conceived her within 3 weeks of my m/c.

First- I am soo sorry for your loss.

I M/C in the middle of October 2006 at about 5-6 weeks. I miscarried naturally and didnt need a D&C. I got my period 5 weeks later and got PG on that cycle.

I waited 2 months after D&C and it took me a very long 8 months to conceive again.

Thank you so much everyone! Your responses give me hope - most of you conceived so quickly afterwards!


I was going to start Prometrium tonight to jump start my period. My doctor was going to call my cell phone with the results of my pregnancy test today. Well she never called and when I got (after they closed) there was a message on my home phone from a nurse to call tomorrow AM to get a new prescription. I just want to take the medicine and getting going, but will wait. I'm annoyed they called my home #!!

I had a D&C in March of 05 and got pregnant June of 05, so three months. it's best for you to be healthy and have a healthy cycle so your lining is strong enough.

Take prenatals now as well.

Thanks! I am taking prenatals, I started them when I came off BCP last December.

So, today my doctor said to take the Prometrium - no prescription change...so frustrating. Starting tonight thankfully!

I am sorry for your loss

I had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks in September 2005...I had to have a D&C, and was told to wait two cycles before TTC again (which I did) We began TTC again that December..

In January of 2006, I became pregnant again with my son!

I always had vastly irregular periods in addition to endometriosis, and it took close to 2 yrs to become pregnant that first time. Oddly enough, though, my cycles regulated after the D&C and I became pregnant very quickly again.

I had a m/c in Feb (naturally, no D&C). Before that I was like clockwork with 30 day cycles. After, I was irregular with cycles from 30-40 days. I waited 2 cycles to try again and got PG the first try.

Thank you everyone! I started the Prometrium last night so I'm on my way to the next cycle.

Today is 19 weeks since my D&C. I'm ready to be counting pregnancy weeks, not weeks since....
