Ok ok... I was wrong. It is her real name, I googled it. BUT she is a celeb anyhow and I am sure people have told her much more freaky things than they named their dog after her.
ETA: I mean it wouldnt be the 1st thing I would think to tell her, but Jess didnt ask that... she just asked if it would be an insult or compliment. If I was a huge celeb like Madonna, I would take it as a compliment.

No, I said I wouldnt think to tell her that either. I would tell her how I dressed up as her for Halloween in grades 3 through 5 and REALLY insult her.

I would probably keep that to myself. We had a cat named Sid Vicious who we used to call Sid for short - but Sid was my grandpa's name - so whenever he came over my mom made us call the cat Vicious because she was afraid my grandpa would be insulted. I am scarred by this so I always think naming your pet after a person is insulting..... Kind of funny how these experiences leave a lasting impression....

but i don't know anyone who has an aunt named "Fluffy", and i've never known anyone to name their kid "Fido", so it's all relative!
