my godson has his first communion in a few weeks. he lives in europe. i haven't seen him in a few years so not that close.
usually, the godparents buy an big gift for the godchild. i think my uncles (the godson is his son) thinks i have more money than i do. he suggested a $500 gift, which i definitely cannot afford. i was thinking more like $200.

can anyone suggest a good gift for an 8 year old for around $200 for first communion?
