It is a double yellow line with one lane going in each direction. definitely busy but not like a Jericho Tpk or anything.

Wicks Road in Commack does not have it's own exit on the LIE, it's nowhere near the LIE. I grew up in Commack (on Wicks Path actually) and my BIL's girlfriend lives on Wicks Road. It is a pretty busy road though.
There are some nice big houses for sale there though, if you are willing to compromise.

Thanks! I know ! there is a nice house on Wicks that is beautiful, LOVe the layout (according to the virtual tour) seems well kept, updated. etc BUT I am scared of the business of the road.

Um, yes it does. If you take exit 53 off the LIE, there is an exit for Wicks Road on the service road right after the exit ramps for the Sagtikos. The sign for Exit 53 even says SA (Sagtikos Parkway) and Wicks Road.

Yes, if you are heading west on the lie. I was just there the other day when she posted. On the servoce road, right before commack rd .

Is that Wicks Rd considered Brentwood though? I don't know if it's considered Commack. There is a Wicks Rd and Wicks Path already in Commack- would they then have two roads with the same name? That's why I think the Wicks Rd from the exit on the LIE is considered Brentwood.

is it really far from you?
can you take a drive there to see what it's like. it's usually recommended to visit the area at different times anyway. I would just go see for myself. busy to one might not be busy to another.
