Come ON already...
Day 45 and STILL nothing. My boobs hurt a little yesterday, but other than that...nothing. No cramps, bloating...or anything.
I am getting kind of discouraged. We are on month 5 of trying and I haven't even had my 3rd period yet...so frustrating.

Re: Come ON already...
Do you use OPKs? Those are long cycles. Are you sure you are ovulating? It's totally possible to get AF without O.

Re: Come ON already...
My doctor suggested not doing the OPKs and just relaxing...HA!!! This is the first cycle not using them and I was fine for the first 30 or so days and now I just feel down.
The one good thing about it is that we have been more. Before I wouldn't even really want to have sex unless I had gotten my smiley...but its nice to have it whenever. The first two cycles I did get Smileys...first on CD24 then CD35...so I am PRETTY sure I am o'ing...but who the heck knows, and of course the doctor didn't want to do any testing. Said to come back if I don't get my period by July.

It's not really normal to get two positive OPKs in one cycle. Sure, your body might have been gearing up to O, then failed to release the egg, and then geared up to O again... it's just that from my own research (I am obviously not an OB or GYN ) that's not typical.
Is that what you want - to wait till July? I'm just surprised an OB would be okay with such long cycles.

Re: Come ON already...
No...I meant the first cycle I got a smiley on day 24 and then got my period on cd35. Second cycle I got my smiley on CD35 and then got my period on CD49.
Now at CD45 on the third cycle and I have no idea when I O'd. Doctor didn't seem concerned about the cycle length because I am only 31...but REALLY? Do I WANT to wait until I am 32 to do anything about this? I don't understand why they can't do tests and find out at the beginning if there is something wrong...it would save a lot of stress.
Edited due to grammatical errors (I know it irks people)

Ohhhhh I am sorry I totally misunderstood!
See, I'm with you. Long cycles are sometimes normal, but do you really want to wait around and see if that's true for you? 31 is young but personally I wouldn't be comfortable waiting. You're almost at the 6 month mark they recommend for women 35+ to get tested, I would push for that simply because your cycles are on the long side. It could be nothing but I'd rather know now than later. I am pretty sure there are blood tests the OB can order to see if there are any issues without you going to an RE.

Re: Come ON already...
She ordered blood work done to test thyroid since I had half taken out about 6 years ago, and that came back normal and there was something else she tested for as well, but that was it. I will see how I feel about it after I come back from my anniversary trip next week. I think we need to speed things up here.

Would your dr be willing to run bloodwork? That's not invasive and will put your mind at ease.
My dr did bloodwork after we had only been trying for a few months and I found out that I have low progesterone so I couldn't get PG without help...I'm happy that I know sooner than later so DH can go get tested and we can move onto medicated cycles.

I seriously hate going to doctor's because they always make me feel like I am an idiot. The one I saw the last time was actually covering for my regular OB because she was out on vacation. There are only two in the office and they run very similar practices. She didn't really seem interested in running any tests since I had only been trying since February. Grrr....I guess I should push the issue but I am so non-confrontational that I always lose my nerve when it comes to pushing for stuff for myself.
