Cold Sore- ugh...
Can a cold sore develop on the inner edge of the lip (kind of on the top where the lips meet)?
What can I use for this?
I'm trying to get through to the OB- but it's been busy

Sounds like one to me. I had 2 in one month last month it sucked. I used ice and Abreva as soon as I felt it come in, I didnt get too bad but it still is annoying.

Everything I'm reading online says they are only on the outside of the lips...I've gotten these before- never on the skin around my mouth- just on the lip somewhere.
I've been biting my lips constantly too- maybe that's the issue...

Re: Cold Sore- ugh...
I had something like this for about TWO MONTHS this pregnancy. It wasn't a cold sore, I never get those. Honestly, I think it was a form of eczema (which I get during pregnancy sometimes) but that's only a guess, I never discussed it with a doctor. I used a lot of lip balm (burts bees worked the best) and it's gone now.
My lip was super sore and cracked and peeling. It got very red occasionally too.

Could it be a canker sore?
