Co-workers vent
I have two co-workers that come to my cube every day to chit chat. One complains about his girlfriend, the other one talks about her kids / mother / crazy aunt all the time. They don't get the hint when I get back to my work. We eat lunch together, chit chat can wait until then but the two of them complain about their work which I have zero interest in. Lunch is my escape from my desk and my work.
It's an open office with low cube partitions, so my managers can not only see but hear what is going on. These two have been reprimanded by their manager when my former manager complained about them disturbing me. AND the two of them had the balls to complain that they were reprimanded.
I want to sever ties with them, I can't deal with all this complaining every single freaking day.

OMG they sound awful!
This is why I have a reputation as a bitchh in the office because I have ZERO patience for people like that. I just ignore everyone.
Everyone thinks I'm a snob but I can't deal with shit like that. The older I get ,the less tolerance I have for office BS and people who just bitchh and moan and don't sit down and do their damn job.
Sorry you have to deal with it... it sounds super annoying.

Co-workers vent
I hate that! Lunch is time to not work or talk about work. Also the chit chat at a cubicle. I always had people come over to chat when I was in a cubicle and a minute or two fine but after that enough already.
I would really just start having to run errands during lunch, or say you have to change the time you go to lunch. I have had this happen before too.

Re: Co-workers vent
Oh how I could relate.
You would think My cube says "talk to me".
I had two different girls do this to me. I hated it; because it was so random so many times a day. It was always about non-work stuff. They were loud; meaning the whole office was hearing them tell me their life story and I HATED it.
One girl who used to do it obsessively left; and the other one; just got let go last month.
I did at one point tell them I got in trouble. They were also both reprimanded at different times for "excessive office chatter". But the warning only lasts for so long before they are it again.
Definitely tell them you were spoken to and have to lay low. If they continue to do it; just remind them.

That would drive me mad. I would just ignore them until they get the hint. I have someone in my office that did this and after a while of looking at my computer and not answering them, they got the hint.
ETS: And if you do continue to eat lunch with them, I'd be straight forward and tell them no work talk.

Yup - that's the best way to get it to stop.

Re: Co-workers vent
I don't really see this as a big deal, TBH.
Just say, "Sorry guys, I need to get back to work. Let's chat at lunch!"
