Club Foot brace?

Does anyone have experience with this? My niece has to use this to correct a slight birth defect. My SIL said she screams bloody murder everytime it's put on, and she's terrified her DD will start to fear/resent her, though in the end it's for her own good.
Any past experience or words of encouragement I can pass along?

My daughter has to wear a brace for
Club foot. At first she hated it but every day she got a little better. Now she only has to wear it at night when she sleeps. We put the shoes on before her last bottle then put on her brave when she finishes eating it usually helps. I have read if the baby sleeps on her back to put a rolled up blankets under her legs to help support her.

For the first few nights my DH or me had to sleep
with her on our chest on the couch. My dr said if it is really bad then to give a little break over night if you need too at first so the baby can sleep.

It is terribly sad and awful at first to watch your baby cry so hard but it really gets easier.

I had to wear a similar brace when I was little. I have very little memory of it. I know I didn't like it but never resented my parents for putting me in it.

Kids forget so much of things they go through when they are small.
