Closing Timeline
How long did it take from when your offer was accepted until you closed?
We made an offer on Fri and it was accepted. The house is vacant, it belonged to an elderly couple who were moved to an assisted living facility. We're signing the contract this week.

Re: Closing Timeline
It depends on so many factors. It took us about 2 months to close. You have to make sure that there is a valid CO on the house, there are no liens on the house, etc. It varies from situation to situation. If you are locked into an interest rate make sure you try to close within that time frame.

Thanks! We know the CO is valid and there are no liens for the house. The owners bought it back in the 50's and paid for it in full! It sounds like such a strange concept!
