Closing on Tuesday
so the closing is coming up real fast and so far we have taken care of the following:
water- check
LIPA - check
cable - DH's job
Oil - ???
What do I about oil? I have no idea how much oil is left in the tank. should I start shopping now and lock in a rate and service contract? what did everyone else do?

For the oil the seller's should have an oil reading done prior to the closing so that you can pay them for what oil they have in their tank, then you will know how much oil you have. I would start out calling the company they have been using and see what their prices are and then work from there.
As for the rest of your questions I don't know the answer because i have gas. sorry

same as above post, you should have an idea of what oil is in your tank at the closing then you can worry about that. How about phones?

thanks! I was just wondering if I should be locking in now or holding out till a later date.
as for phones..we'll either get the cable triple play or verizon fios bundle including the phone.
