Closing
Does the attorney see any financial documentation (ex, paystubs, W2, bank statements) or is that only handled by Bank/Loan Officer? Is the attorney only responsible for contract and specifications, or does he get copies of financial information as well?

I THINK our attorney only wanted our committment letter and a few others things that the mortgage company gave us.

Probably a copy of the mortgage agreement and everything that's signed the day of.
After closing you'll have doubles of some things. Our lawyer gave us a copy of everything that she had. So did our mortgage guy. I just kept everything and threw it in a file cabinet.

Okay just trying to see if they get a hold of any financial aspects as far as personal income, bank statements, W2, etc. I know getting a piece of paper with mortgage amount, down payment, monthly payments is expected, just was not aware if they view/see the other information I listed.

I believe my attorney only saw the commitment letter from the bank, but then again the bank and the attorney handled everything so I don't even know.
I don't think they would need any of that personal financial info
