Clomiphene (Clomid)
Starting on this today; I was warned that I'll feel very stressed and may get hot flashes. Since I'm usually very stressed to begin with, just wondering will I really have any effects from the meds? I hate taking pills so I'm very nervous about how my body is going to react. Any input would be great.
Also, DH & I are quitting smoking tomorrow (this time I know we can do it); do you think smoking today will have any effects with taking the meds tonight? They didn't mention anything about that, but I'm a worrywart. So why do I smoke, God only knows

Re: Clomiphene (Clomid)
Some people have zero side effects on Clomid and others have a ton. I experienced hot flashes, fatigue, headaches, and depression. The side effects for me got worse the second month I took it.
Congrats on quitting smoking!

Re: Clomiphene (Clomid)
I just finished my first round of clomid (50mg) and has no side effects at all! I was anticipating the worst and was pleasantly surprised. Everyone's body is different, so it's the luck of the draw!
Good luck!

Thanks so much; I really appreciate your input. When the nurse told me I'll have hot flashes & be stressed, I said well, I'm already stressed and get hot flashes at night anyway.

Re: Clomiphene (Clomid)
I didn't start feeling any side effects with clomid until I took 100mg. I got hot flashes and dizziness. I don't really understand the "stressed" part. Unless she is saying you might be stressed wondering if its working!

Re: Clomiphene (Clomid)
ON 50 mg of Clomid, I felt nothing, in fact, I was very relaxed. On 100 mg of Clomid I did have some mild nausea the first time..not so sure about the hot flashes, I'm cold all the time, so I was never tooo hot.
Good luck!
